CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot ™ Opens First California Franchise Location in Torrance on July 11

July 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // Torrance, CA­ – CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot™, the beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, will celebrate the grand opening of it first California franchise location in Torrance by offering free frozen yogurt from 4-7 pm on Friday, July 11. CUPS is located at the Rolling Hills Plaza, 2533 Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance.

During the grand opening week, each Torrance customer will be given a "scratch off" card, which contains prizes such as iPhone covers, blankets, pens, glow-in-the-dark wristbands and CUPS coupons. One lucky winner will receive free fro-yo for a year.

Sant and Sons is the franchisee for the Torrance location. Sant and Sons signed on with CUPS for 12 franchise units, becoming the first franchisee in California, whose territory ranges from Santa Monica to Long Beach, including Torrance, Hawthorne, and the beach cities of Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach.

"CUPS is a whole new environment compared to the many different concepts of frozen yogurt these days. I don't see a better place then Southern California to have these beach and club themed frozen yogurt shops," said Jas Ghotra, co-president of Sant and Sons. "We can't wait to introduce CUPS to all of Southern California."

Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in 2010, CUPS has taken the frozen yogurt industry by storm, becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.

The Exchange, a popular Yahoo Finance blog, named CUPS as one of "The Most Popular Fast-Food Outlets You Haven't Heard Of (Yet)."
