Hungry Howie's Pizza Opens New Restaurant In Monroe, Michigan

National Pizza Franchise Continues Home State Expansion

July 16, 2014 // Franchising.com // MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – Hungry Howie's Pizza continues its growth in the state of Michigan with a new location in the city of Monroe. The pizza concept bakes its dough in-store fresh daily and offers a delicious selection of eight famous crust flavors including; butter, butter cheese, cajun, garlic herb, ranch, onion, sesame, and asiago cheese.

The Monroe location will be husband and wife duo Patrick and Carole Shannon's third Hungry Howie's Pizza restaurant, with their first two located in Milan and Saline Michigan. Before opening their first Hungry Howie's Pizza location, both spent more than a decade working at the Hungry Howie's Pizza's corporate office, where they originally met. During their time working in the corporate office, they not only fell in love with the Hungry Howie's Pizza brand and business model, but each other as well! Furthermore, at the 2014 Hungry Howie's Pizza's annual franchisee convention, the Shannon's were awarded the Franchisee of the Year award.

To celebrate the brand's newest location, Hungry Howie's Pizza will be making a donation to the Monroe Housing Commission, a local organization that creates safe, decent and affordable housing for its residents' self- sufficiency and economic independence. Additionally, one lucky customer will be awarded free pizza for one year.

"We believe it is essential to give back to the community before opening our doors for business, and we are honored to be making a donation to the Monroe Housing Commission, an organization that near and dear to the city of Monroe.
