Maui Wowi Gives Back and Celebrates at New Location

Maui Wowi Hawaiian, gourmet coffee and fruit smoothie company, kicks off a new location in Highland, Calif. with a fun community celebration, giveaways, and informational franchise opportunity sessions.

July 24, 2014 // Franchising.com // Greenwood Village, COLO. - It's almost here! The new Maui Wowi store in Highland, California recently opened its doors earlier this summer and now it's time to celebrate! Located at 28924 Greenspot Rd., the new store's owners, franchisees Jason Kounas and Jordan Lovato, invite the community to a fun Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, July 26th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day will kick off with an official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce at 11 a.m. There will also be live entertainment from local hula dance groups and not to mention, two hours of free smoothies! They will be handing out complimentary small strawberry and mango orange smoothies from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Guests can also enter to win a giveaway for a free tiki size smoothie for a year! The offer entitles the winner to one free tiki size smoothie per month for a full calendar year.

"We want to welcome our community, friends, and family to gather at our new store and enjoy a fun celebration with us and our staff," said Lovato. "Opening our first business together means a lot to us and we are excited to share it with the people of Highland."

The celebration will also be part of a great cause. Kounas and Lovato have chosen to donate 20% of all proceeds from the day to help Joshua Keeney, a young boy in their community who was recently burned in a campfire accident over spring break. The money raised will go to help him and his family through the recovery. During the event, representatives from Maui Wowi, as well as the Director of Regional Support for Southern California will be hosting an Open House. It will feature two sessions to discuss the flexible franchise opportunities available to those interested in owning their own piece of paradise. The sessions are open to the public and will be held at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. inside the store.
