People who want to shop Caring Transitions estate sales can now do so from the comfort of their homes, at work, or on their personal cell phones. Estate sale followers love the convenience of shopping estate sales any time of the day or night, and Caring Transitions clients love the privacy that is afforded, avoiding foot traffic through their home.

Caring Transitions of Oklahoma City serves the Greater Oklahoma City metro area including, Oklahoma City, Norman, Edmond, Moore, Midwest City, Shawnee and the surrounding areas.

Although both Russ and Mary had successful careers, a Caring Transitions advertisement in an airline magazine caught Mary's attention. Russ had been traveling extensively with his job, and the thought of having a business in town was appealing to both of them.

"We'd always wanted to own our own business, and Caring Transitions is a natural fit for our skill sets. Ever encouraging are the many comments we continue to receive about the need for Caring Transitions' services," Russ said. "Almost everyone we meet has a story about a family member who went through, or is going through, a major life transformation. We are very excited to be in a position to help them."

Russ retired as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps Captain after a 24 year distinguished career. He has continued working as a logistics and process improvement specialist. As a Certified Professional Logistician and a Certified Relocation Transition Specialist, Russ combines his extensive management experience and training to effectively execute the myriad of services that Caring Transitions offers.

Mary has worked as a physical therapist for more than 30 years, and with a Master's Degree in Gerontology, she has always loved working with seniors. As a Certified Relocation Transition Specialist (CRTS), Mary has seen families deal first hand with the difficult decisions associated with the failing health of a loved one.

"Juggling the needs of their loved one on top of managing the home and belongings of an aging family member can be overwhelming. We are here to help elders and their families with compassion, keeping their needs at the forefront. Caring Transitions manages the complexities involved in moving and estate sales so that you can take care of your family. We take these huge tasks off your plate and help you navigate the challenges," Mary said.

Each Caring Transitions franchisee is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. They are trained, bonded and insured. This new franchise is bringing new jobs to the area as the business continues to grow.

"Integrity and caring are job one, tenets ingrained in our careers as a Naval Officer and physical therapist. As business owners and professionals, we highly value our clients who are trusting us during very challenging times. We understand that we have a responsibility to treat people and their possessions with respect. That's extremely important to us," Russ said.

When they're not working, Mary is heavily involved with singing, coaching, and teaching with Sweet Adelines, an international organization of women dedicated to education and singing four part a cappella music, barbershop style. Mary's quartet, Zing!, won the International Quartet Championship in 2010, making her a "Queen of Harmony." Mary directs the OK City Chorus of Sweet Adelines. She serves as an International Sound Judge and is on the Sweet Adelines International Faculty.
