2014 Indiana Real Estate Market Dominated by RE/MAX

RE/MAX of Indiana's Brokerage Network Captures Market Share for Closed Transactions January through June

Indianapolis, Ind. (PRWEB) August 11, 2014 - According to a report compiled by RE/MAX of Indiana, the brokerage network leads seven of the markets tracked by residential real estate boards around the state of Indiana. Data in the report, tracking single-family residential listings closed from Jan. 1 through June 30, places RE/MAX in the No. 1 market share position for sales volume, the total number of closed transactions, or both.

"We have watched the Hoosier housing market slowly return to strength over recent years, but through it all, our brokers and agents in Indiana have consistently outperformed the competition," said David Linger, regional director of RE/MAX of Indiana. "The level of service they provide to buyers and sellers, as well as the depth and breadth of their knowledge, have made the greatest difference in our success as a network of real estate professionals."

Analysis of the data shows significant market share of more than 20 percent in some areas.

In the Bloomington, Monroe County, Owen County and South Central Indiana area, RE/MAX achieved 40.24 percent of total transaction sides, nearly four times more than the nearest competitor. A transaction "side" refers to either the selling or buying side of a real estate transaction. In addition, RE/MAX achieved 45 percent of total sales volume in the Bloomington area, compared with 13.47 percent of sales volume by the nearest competitor.

In the metropolitan Indianapolis area, the state's largest market, RE/MAX commands 15.22 percent of all transaction sides, leading F.C. Tucker (13.87 percent), Century 21 (9.16 percent), Keller Williams (8.05 percent) and Carpenter REALTORS (7.94 percent).
