Erika Amarante Elected to Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association's Board of Directors

August 26, 2014 // Franchising.com // New Haven – Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Litigation Partner Erika Amarante has been elected to the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association's Board of Directors for a three-year term. The Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association is a voluntary, not-for-profit, statewide organization of civil defense attorneys.

Erika is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department. Her practice includes litigation, arbitration and counseling on a wide variety of complex commercial and civil litigation issues. Erika regularly represents hospitals, physicians and other health care providers in cases alleging professional liability, including claims of medical negligence, lack of informed consent, negligent credentialing and products liability. She also has extensive experience in franchise litigation and frequently counsels the firm's clients on the requirements of federal and state antitrust law.
