It is Time for Mansfield to Mellow Out with Mellow Mushroom

Handcrafted pizza, unique artwork and a full service bar are just a few reasons to stop into Mellow Mushroom Mansfield today.

August 28, 2014 // Franchising.com // Mansfield, TX - Mansfield residents will now be able to enjoy fresh handcrafted pizza, craft beer and much more at the newest addition to the community, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, now open. Mellow Mushroom Mansfield is located at 101 S. Main.

The owners of this location, Kim and Montie Slawson, are thrilled to bring Mellow Mushroom to the Mansfield community. "We have been personally connected to the city and our home since 1998. I remember when there was only one high school and grocery store in this beautiful town. The community has grown in a wonderful way; however, it still has the same small town feel," states Kim. She continues, "This location was the original site of the first steam powered grist mill in Texas, and when you walk in the door, you will see a mill stone turning, secured to the ground."

The menu features a variety of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers. Options for vegetarians, vegans, kids, and those on a gluten free plan are also available.

Each Mellow Mushroom location is a unique, one of a kind design, with the same core menu. From the open kitchen to the back of the bar, local trends and flair are incorporated into the settings, designed and created to reflect each unique location.

Inspired by past history in the city of Mansfield, owners Kim and Montie Slawson have combined the old and the new, paying tribute to all periods by decorating in a steampunk style. Bringing a vibrant spark to the downtown corridor, each piece of art is handcrafted, and rich details accent every piece of this building’s design. The pizza line mural is a trip through time. There’s even an 8 ft. guitar, designed by local artist, Eddie Phillips.

This Mellow provides something for the entire family, including a full service bar with ever changing draft beers, a private dining ‘boat room,’ which seats up to 50 guests and televisions for sports viewing pleasure.

This Mellow also features an outdoor stage where live music will be played each and every Friday and Saturday evening. Wherever you settle in for a Mellow experience, this newest mellow locale features history and a welcoming atmosphere for all.
