Pinot's Palette Introduces New 'Spokes-Pig'

Fast-Growing Paint-And-Sip Franchise to Host Social Media Contest for Naming Miniature Pig

September 02, 2014 // Franchising.com // Houston – Pinot's Palette has a new mascot and it needs a name. As a result, the rapidly-expanding paint-and-sip franchise known for providing guests with an entertaining evening of art and wine, is launching a social media contest to ask fans to help name the miniature potbelly pig with colorful nails and a zest for painting.

According to Beth Willis, chief creative officer and co-founder of Pinot's Palette, the paint-and-sip brand chose the small omnivore, no bigger than an average-sized puppy, as the official spokes-pig because the miniature pig is the perfect addition to the Pinot's family and another fun way to enhance guests' experience.

"There's no better way to accentuate what Pinot's Palette is all about than with a cute pig," said Willis, who co-founded Pinot's Palette with her husband Charles Willis, and business partner Craig Ceccanti. "We've painted its nails bright pink, and we're even teaching it to paint. She really fits right in at the studio with our motto: Paint. Sip. Have fun."

To name the spokes-pig, Pinot's Palette will hold a social media contest from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1 in which fans will be invited to submit and vote for the pig's official name. To enter, fans must submit their suggested name to http://www.pinotpig.com/contest/ and explain why they've chosen that name. All entries must include an email address. Once the submission is approved, participants can share with family and friends their submission with the hashtag #pinotpig.

The winner of the contest, who will be selected at random from the top 10 submissions with the most votes, will win a Pinot's Palette prize-pack including a gift card, T-shirt and a wine tumbler.

"We want the public to decide on the pig's name to make it more exciting and inclusive for our guests," Willis said.
