United Franchise Group Sees Global Growth Increases In 2014

UFG Brand Footprint Expands to 70 Countries

September 22, 2014 // Franchising.com // West Palm Beach, Florida - The five brands that are under the umbrella of the United Franchise Group can now be found in 70 countries worldwide. From the shadow of the Eifel Tower to small local communities, the diversity of locations in which a United Franchise Group brand can be found around the world has increased in 2014 as leading franchises Signarama, EmbroidMe, SuperGreen, and TransWorld all exhibit growth.

Leading this growth is Signarama, the world's largest sign franchise, which is expanding its reach in both familiar and previously uncharted territories around the world. So far this year, Master License Partnerships have been completed in the Philippines, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Tunisia, Switzerland and 20 countries throughout the Middle East.

"We believe that the Middle Eastern market is an ideal fit for Signarama's innovative and creative services," said Signarama President "JT" Jim Tatem of the company's Middle East expansion. Signarama's Middle East flagship store will open in Dubai later this year, joining the company's Philippines flagship store which was opened in Manila, Jamaica's flagship franchise store to be opened in Kingston, Switzerland's flagship store to open in Geneva and Tunisia's flagship branch in Tunis which will open in October. Signarama has also reached a new milestone in Australia, where the 100th franchise opened in Mosman, New South Wales. Recently ranked 28th on Franchise Direct's Top 100 Global Franchises list - an increase from its previous ranking of 51st - Signarama's growth in 2014 is expected to continue, with Mexico and China targeted as territories for expansion. Signarama's growth comes on the heels of the brand's recent appearance on Military Times' 2014 Best for Vets list as the number three franchise for American military veterans.

Emulating Signarama's growth is EmbroidMe, the world's largest diversified promotional products and apparel franchise. So far this year, EmbroidMe has expanded its coverage to Mexico, with the opening of its flagship store in Monterey. EmbroidMe was also the beneficiary of an increased ranking on Franchise Direct's Top 100 Global Franchises list, moving up to 39th from 97th.

SuperGreen Solutions, a one-stop solution for energy efficient products ranging from LED lighting and solar power for home and business owners alike, now has a presence in the Bahamas, Panama, Canada, and South Africa. With an eye toward future growth, SuperGreen is targeting to expansion in France and Brazil this year.

Rounding out United Franchise Group's growth is Transworld Business Advisors, a business brokerage and franchise sales company, which saw a store opening in Kuwait following its sale in 2013.
