Menchie's Exceeds Fundraising Expectations for Make-a-Wish®

Frozen Yogurt Brand Helps Grant Wishes For Children With Life-Threatening Medical Conditions

ENCINO, Calif. - September 23, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Menchie's, North America's largest self-serve frozen yogurt franchise has raised over $350,000 for Make-A-Wish® during the month of August. The funds will be used to help grant more than 35 once-in-a-lifetime wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

From August 1, 2014 through August 31, 2014, Menchie's fundraised in stores to help Make-A-Wish. Menchie's more than surpassed its fundraising goals donating over a quarter of a million dollars to the wish granting organization. One hundred percent of all donations at each Menchie's location went towards creating life-affirming experiences that strengthen wish kids and their families.

"Our team is focused on spreading happiness and giving back to our communities, so the opportunity to work with Make-A-Wish® was a very heartwarming and humbling experience," said Menchie's CEO Amit Kleinberger. "Every day it's a joy to be able to make our guests smile when they walk through our doors, but the greatest joy of all this month was to make as many wish kids as possible smile by granting their one true wish through our support of Make-A-Wish®."

"Receiving this incredible contribution means a great deal to so many wish kids and their families," said Make-A-Wish America President and CEO David Williams. "We are grateful to Menchie's for making a difference and helping us provide children with life-threatening medical conditions with the opportunity to experience the life-changing potential of a wish-come-true."
