New Family Business Helps Other Families with Senior Relocation and Estate Liquidation

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 - Renee and Hansel Frazier are looking forward to creating a family business other families can rely on with their new franchise, Caring Transitions of Ann Arbor.

"The last few years have been difficult. We were faced with the overwhelming and heart-wrenching task of placing a loved one in a senior living facility and then, after losing both sets of parents and a grandparent in less than two years, we had to deal with the physical memories in their homes," Renee said. "We wish we had the help and guidance of a company like Caring Transitions, but we had no idea a business like this existed. When we stumbled across Caring Transitions, we felt the need to help others facing circumstances like we did. This company spoke to us."

Prior to launching their own business, Renee spent 28 years as a hairstylist, including time as an educator, mentor and manager. Hansel is in research and design for hybrid vehicles. Although Renee is heading up the business, Hansel is hoping to get more involved in the business as it grows.

"Dealing with the physical and emotional stress of these types of situations can be a huge burden. We’re looking forward to helping to ease that burden, especially when it comes to senior relocations," Hansel said.

"Helping someone understand their new space and decide what possessions to take with them – and then figure out what to do with the rest – is a wonderful experience," Renee added.

The couple, high school sweethearts who have been married for 33 years, have two adult children, Tiffany and Brandon. Tiffany, who lives in St. Louis and works in sales and marketing, is hoping to join the Caring Transitions of Ann Arbor team in the future. Their son Brandon is a Marine Veteran of the Iraq war, an advocate for veterans’ rights and has a published paper called "The Weight of Violence." He’s currently living in Boston and works in insurance.

In addition to the physical services Caring Transitions provides, each Caring Transitions franchisee is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. They are trained, bonded and insured. This new franchise will bring several new jobs to the area as the business grows.
