ARCOP Honors Suppliers with Arby's Red Hat Supplier Achievement Awards at 2014 Worldwide Franchise Convention

September 25, 2014 // // ATLANTA – Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. and ARCOP, Inc., the national supply chain cooperative for Arby's, honored seven of its suppliers with Red Hat Supplier Achievement Awards during the 2014 Arby's Worldwide Franchise Convention, taking place September 20-23 in Las Vegas.

The Red Hat Supplier Achievement Awards spotlight Arby's suppliers who have provided superior levels of service and support to the Arby's system.

"The Red Hat Supplier Achievement Awards recognize high-level achievement of a select group of suppliers who exceed Arby's expectations during their service to the Brand. These suppliers raise the bar in many ways, with each award winner playing a critical role in delivering superior quality, service, competitiveness and innovation to the Arby's system," said David Cox, President, ARCOP, Inc.

The Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award for Distribution Center of the Year went to Willow Run Foods. Their first place rating was driven by achieving the highest average scores across eight key performance indicators (KPI's). These measurements can be grouped in three functional areas that include delivery service to restaurants, promotion management and quality assurance. This is Willow Run's third consecutive Red Hat Award which is an indication of their continued exemplary service and dedication to serving the Arby's® restaurant brand well.

The Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award in the category of food supply was given to Sadler's Smokehouse. This recent partnership, established in 2013, has seen Sadler's Smokehouse demonstrate their commitment to product innovation, quality and customer service as the primary supplier and developer of the Arby's premium Smokehouse Brisket menu line, one of Arby's most successful product launches to date.

Allen Industries, a trusted Arby's signage partner for more than 14 years, received a Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award for playing a critical role in designing and manufacturing the new "Inspire Image" signage package for Arby's. This new signage package is now featured in all of Arby's 2014 "Inspire" Remodels and New Store Designs, helping to drive the Brand's significant growth initiative. Allen Industries' team consistently provides critical support for Arby's through multiple branding changes. Allen Industries' staff works proactively and skillfully to turn Arby's creative visions into a reality.

Design Team Sign Company received a Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award due to their continuing dedication to earning Arby's business on a daily basis with their superior customer service, unparalleled innovative spirit and inspiring competitiveness. They have assembled a strong, responsive, knowledgeable and solutions-driven team. Design Team has a willingness to collaborate and bring cutting-edge ideas in an effort to find solutions to the Brand's ever-changing signage needs. They have integrated and grown their business within the Arby's franchise system.

Bagcraft Papercon received their Red Hat Award due to their superior customer service support, dedicated administrative staff and rush sample shipping. Bagcraft Papercon's staff works hand-in-hand with Arby's, truly exemplifying the true spirit of business partnership, especially when challenges are presented. They are experts at supporting production requests with short lead times, rushing the order of raw packaging materials, and development assistance for new packaging products that support the marketing calendar. They also provided seamless support for Arby's graphics changes and substrate changes on over 10 SKU's in 2014.

InterMetro Industries Corporation has been named a Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award winner in the equipment category for supporting the Brand's often unique needs in Arby's restaurants. Their innovative shelving concepts have resolved numerous critical space and storage issues essential to maintaining an efficient operation. Their Work Smart platform has also significantly increased Arby's speed of service and helped to reduce costs compared to standard stainless and millwork counter options.

Marshall Air Systems, Inc. received a Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award for their continuous efforts to provide quality kitchen equipment innovations and solutions, in particular the development of a new custom fry dump station that greatly improves temperature for Arby's curly fries. The efficient, new fry dump station has provided a significant reduction in costs, allowing more restaurant operators the opportunity to purchase the new spec. More of Marshall Air's products have been approved by the Arby's system than any other Brand kitchen equipment partner over the past two years.
