Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom Donating $1 from Select Specialty Pizzas to Benefit Children's Hospital & Medical Center this Month

Proceeds during National Pizza Month to Benefit Life-saving Cardiology Research

OMAHA, Neb. - Oct. 13, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, a traditional casual dining restaurant known for its delicious, handmade pizza and craft beers, is donating $1 from every Chicago 7™ and Meat Me™ specialty pizza ordered after 3 p.m. this month to Children's Hospital & Medical Center to benefit cardiology research.

"Children's Hospital & Medical Center has a long history serving children throughout the region and we're proud to partner with them to raise funds for life-saving cardiology research," said Scott Parrill, Regional Manager at Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom. "We can't think of a better way to celebrate National Pizza Month than to use it as an opportunity to give back to the community that supports us every day. We look forward to seeing everyone in Omaha at one of our five locations this month and helping out an incredible organization like Children's Hospital & Medical Center."

Guests can choose from two specialty pizzas that benefit Children's Hospital & Medical Center:

  • Chicago 7™ – Pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onions, black olives, green peppers, sliced mushrooms and signature house pizza sauce.
  • Meat Me™ – Loaded with four premium meaty toppings and garnished with green olives and fresh basil.

Old Chicago serves its made-from-scratch pizza in locations throughout Omaha and offers two crust types that are both made in-house every day — Chicago Thick, a buttery hand-tossed cornmeal crust, served in the pan and Tavern Thin, which has a light and crispy texture and is served square-cut. Loaded with a variety of mouthwatering toppings, every pizza is made to order.

The following Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom restaurants in Omaha will be participating:

  • 425 North 78th St., Omaha
  • 1111 Harney St., Omaha
  • 13110 Birch Drive #180, Omaha
  • 2643 S 144th Street, Omaha

Additionally, to celebrate National Pizza Month, guests will receive a pizza punch card and those who try three specialty pizzas will get the fourth specialty pizza free. Guests can enjoy this promotion all month long with no limit on how many times they try any of the 15 specialty pizzas Old Chicago offers.
