Value Place Opens New Hotel in Fredericksburg, Virginia

124-room hotel provides a clean, safe, affordable, extended-stay option for travelers.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - October 16, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Value Place, the nation’s largest economy extended-stay hotel brand, has announced the grand opening of a newly constructed hotel in Fredericksburg, Virginia located at 1455 Carl D Silver Parkway. This is the brand’s seventh hotel in Virginia, joining Value Place hotels in Chesapeake, Richmond, Gainesville, and Manassas. Value Place has partnered with a local franchisee to develop this hotel. The hotel opened to the public effective October 15, 2014.

"Since 2010, Fredericksburg is the fastest-growing locality in Virginia for both business and population," said Andy Anderson, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Value Place. "We are thrilled to bring this new extended-stay hotel to the region and are looking forward to a successful location for our franchisee."

Between April 1, 2010 and July 1, 2013, the city grew by 15.1 percent, according to the latest estimates from the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service. Fredericksburg’s position between Richmond and Washington, D.C. make it attractive to commuters traveling between the two cities, which can bring traffic to extended-stay locations.

The new four-story, 124-room hotel will feature such guest amenities as laundry facilities, high-speed wireless internet, modified kitchens, and the cleanliness, safety, and security that a Value Place provides to every guest. The hotel is managed by Sandpiper Property Management, LLC.

Extended-stay hotels are an appealing option for government employees, construction workers, and other business travelers whose careers require them to travel and stay for extended periods of time.

Value Place is focused on strategic expansion across the U.S. through corporate- and franchise-owned development. Over the next three years, expansion plans include the acquisition of land to build corporate and franchised properties in markets including Miami, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland.

With nearly 190 hotels open in 32 states, Value Place has emerged as a leader in the extended-stay segment. The brand continues to garner national recognition, and was recently named by Forbes magazine as the top hotel franchise in the U.S., one of 2014’s Top 500 Franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine, as well as one of Franchise Business Review’s Top 50 Franchises for four consecutive years.
