Community Invited To Art Van Furniture Ribbon Cutting At Mishawaka, Indiana Store October 28

Former family-owned Sofa Select is first Art Van Furniture franchise location outside of Michigan

WARREN, Mich., Oct. 20, 2014 // PRNewswire // -- Don't "mish" it! Art Van Furniture, the Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer, is hosting an official ribbon cutting ceremony at its new Mishawaka, Indiana store on Tuesday, October 28 at 4:30 p.m. The former Sofa Select store, located at 5946 North Grape Road near the University Park Mall, is owned by Tom and Rose Eslinger. Members of Art Van Furniture's leadership team will be in attendance as well as local dignitaries. The event is open to the public.

This is Art Van Furniture's first franchise location outside of its home state of Michigan. It currently has seven Michigan franchise locations in Alpena, Mount Pleasant, Midland, Marquette, Sault Sainte Marie, Owosso and Gaylord, with two additional franchises set to open in the state in 2014.

"This is a terrific opportunity for us to meet our northern Indiana guests," said Kim Yost, CEO of Art Van Furniture. "Tom and Rose Eslinger have been serving families in the area for over three decades, and we look forward to continuing this tradition for many more."

The store features a wide variety of furniture collections, including Cindy Crawford Home, La-Z-Boy, Gascho and Broyhill. Its Art Van PureSleep department uses science to fit guests with the proper bed, pillow and protector for a great night's sleep from today's top bedding manufacturers such as Sealy, Simmons, Tempurpedic, Serta, Stearns and Foster and King Koil.

"Having the ability to offer the largest furniture selection in town is a thrill for Rose and me," said Tom Eslinger. "There are more options than ever to transform houses into homes. Mishawaka will never be the same!"

Refreshments will be served. Guests who would like to RSVP in advance can contact Teresa McKenzie at 574.271.6400. For more information, visit
