Amy Whittington Opens The Growth Coach of Western Maryland

Clear Spring, MD (PRWEB) October 23, 2014 - For the last 20 years Amy Whittington worked in corporate America, she's been that person people go to for help and advice. Now she's using that passion for helping people succeed to launch her own business – The Growth Coach of Western Maryland.

The Growth Coach of Western Maryland will serve Frederick, Washington and Allegany counties and the surrounding communities, including Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Amy Whittington has over 25 years of experience in operations and customer service leadership, spanning retail, banking and corporate environments. She spent 19 years in the financial services industry, supporting major financial institutions and managing client and vendor relationships in the U.S. and throughout Latin America and Asia. Whittington, who has a BA in Communications and International Business from the University of Maryland University College, has also been very active in her local community, volunteering for various non-profit organizations and serving on the boards of The Salvation Army and STAR Community, Inc., as well as various committees for The United Way.

Through her career and volunteer experience, Whittington saw the need for executive and management team coaching. She thought she'd start coaching if she ever needed a career change.

"I found The Growth Coach about a year ago and started keeping an eye on what the franchise was doing. Earlier this year I thought, this shouldn't be a backup plan. I should do this now on my own terms. I initially thought maybe I would open the business on my own, but The Growth Coach has services others can't offer.
