Little Caesars® Renews Commitment to Those in Need with Expanded Love Kitchen® Program

Additional pizza kitchen on wheels christened; Served at Michigan Veterans Foundation

DETROIT - Nov. 11, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Little Caesars Love Kitchen, a big-rig pizza kitchen on wheels, has traveled throughout the country for almost 30 years providing nearly three million meals to homeless, hungry and displaced families. Today, the program has expanded its mission by adding an additional Love Kitchen, dramatically increasing the outreach capability to those in need. In honor of the new Love Kitchen, Little Caesars hosted a celebration on November 11th in its hometown of Detroit with a "christening" event followed by a serving at the Michigan Veterans Foundation. Little Caesars President & CEO David Scrivano and best-selling author, columnist, and radio and television commentator Mitch Albom participated in the christening.

"The Love Kitchen program is rooted in Little Caesars longstanding, deep commitment to reaching out to those in need," said Little Caesars President and CEO David Scrivano. "Our veterans are a national treasure, and are unfortunately often part of this vulnerable group. As a family company, we're proud to help veterans and other families throughout the country, and the Little Caesars Love Kitchen is one way we do just that. We're so pleased to be doubling our efforts and to be starting in our home town on Veterans Day, serving hot pizza meals to people who otherwise may not get one."

This year alone, the existing Little Caesars Love Kitchen is expected to serve over 100,000 meals in nearly 200 cities across the United States.

"Feeding those in need has long been an important issue to me in my own charity work, particularly for the homeless in Detroit," said Mitch Albom, author and founder of S.A.Y. Detroit. "Wiping out hunger requires that we all work together, and Little Caesars is making enormous strides toward that goal. I'm honored to join in the celebration of its new Love Kitchen."
