Tropical Smoothie Café Continues Atlanta Expansion with Fourth Café Opening

New North Druid Hills Café Part of Growth Strategy to Have 40 Locations in Atlanta

ATLANTA - December 02, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - After opening its fourth location in Atlanta this November, Tropical Smoothie Café, known for its better-for-you food and smoothies, plans to significantly expand its brand footprint in the market with up to 40 locations in coming years.

The newest café opened Nov. 5 at 2566 Briarcliff Road NE in the North Druid Hills neighborhood and is owned by local franchise partner Scott Temme. Other Atlanta-area locations include a company-owned café at the Perimeter Mall and franchise locations in Conyers and Stockbridge.

The brand is currently seeking franchise partners to develop up to 40 locations throughout the Atlanta area, including in Buckhead, Midtown, Downtown, Highlands, Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, Vinings, Marietta, Alpharetta, College Park, among other neighborhoods. Restaurant and food industry experience, though preferred, is not required to open a Tropical Smoothie Café.

The local Atlanta expansion is part of the brand's overall growth strategy to have 800 units nationwide by 2018. Next year, Tropical Smoothie Café expects to open 100 additional locations throughout the country.
