Hurricane Grill & Wings® Continues Iowa Expansion With New Cedar Rapids Opening

Tropical-Themed Casual Dining Franchise Set To Open New Location in Cedar Rapids

December 09, 2014 // Franchising.com // WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Hurricane Grill & Wings®, an island-inspired, full-service restaurant, continues its expansion in the state of Iowa with a new restaurant opening in Cedar Rapids. The family-friendly restaurant invites local fans to come in and Live with Flavor® where guests can enjoy a variety of sizzling wings, delectable entrees and fresh, crisp salads to satisfy any craving.

This will be the second location for franchisee Darin Beck, CEO and founder of Barmuda MMC, one of Iowa’s leading restaurant groups. After experiencing success at their first Hurricane Grill & Wings location in Waterloo, they decided to continue to grow the brand in Iowa with a new location in Cedar Rapids. Hurricane Grill & Wings plans to bring 100 new jobs to the Cedar Rapids community.

Hurricane Grill & Wings is known for their more than 35 signature flavors of award-winning, never frozen fresh jumbo wings. Popular flavor varieties include Thai Ginger and Garlic, Raspberry Ice and Sweet Red Chili and can range in heat intensity from Calm Seas to Evacuation Route. Guests can also customize their own burgers with the Build-A-Burger menu feature, including a variety of savory toppings and delicious flavors. The location will also offer additional entrees such as seafood, salads and sandwiches which can be paired with sides like Garlic N’ Parm Fries, Caribbean Yellow Rice and Homemade Kettle Chips.

Hurricane Grill & Wings’ newest location features an indoor dining room and patio that opens up to the outside and seats 207 people. The Cedar Rapids location will also feature local craft beers from Backpocket Brewing, Millstream Brewing Co. and Peace Tree Brewing Co.
