Window World Announces Retirement of President Dana Deem

January 08, 2015 // Franchising.com // NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. - Window World®, America's largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, announced the retirement of longtime senior executive Dana Deem after 10 years of contributions, leadership and service to the company.

At the annual Window World National Sales Meeting in August 2014, Deem announced his intention to retire, officially resigning as Window World president effective Jan. 2, 2015. Deem played a vital role in the development and direction of the company. Under his guidance, Window World hit several monumental accomplishments, such as the sale of its 10 millionth window in 2014, and received prominent accolades, including earning the Good Housekeeping Seal for its window products for seven consecutive years and ranking “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Windows and Doors” by J.D. Power for two consecutive years.

"It is rare to find someone with Dana's personal and professional attributes," said Tammy Whitworth, Window World chairman and CEO and interim president. "His contributions to our customers and employees the past decade have better positioned Window World for the company's evolving future. The entire Window World family thanks him for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best."

Following retirement from a 21-year career in sales, purchasing and management at Lowe's, Deem was enticed to return to work in 2004 by Window World's late CEO, Todd Whitworth. Charged with overseeing the company's sales strategy and operations, he was later named president in 2011, contributing significantly to Window World's steady growth and success over the past three years. “Approaching the 20-year-mark, I'm confident Window World will continue to build on the remarkable success achieved thus far; keeping its commitment to the homeowner at the forefront,” said Deem.
