CertaPro Painters Reaches $200,000 Goal with Homes for our Troops

Funding to help Provide Mortgage-Free Homes to Injured Veterans

March 03, 2015 // Franchising.com // Oaks, Pa. - CertaPro Painters, the largest painting company in North America, has announced that it has reached the company’s goal of $200,000 in the first two years of its partnership with Homes for Our Troops partnership. Homes for Our Troops is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building specially adapted homes for severely injured Veterans nationwide. As of February 27, 2015, Homes for Our Troops has built 182 specially adapted homes nationwide.

CertaPro Painters’ national participation with Homes for Our Troops began in 2013. Local CertaPro franchisees around the country have held fundraising events in support of Homes for Our Troops, including multiple 5k runs, golf tournaments and charity events.

About Homes for Our Troops

Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization building specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of these veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its founding in 2004, over 90 cents out of every $1 (dollar) donated to HFOT has gone directly to veterans in its program. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
