Amramp: Accessibility – 402 West Broadway Center, San Diego

Amramp Provides Rental Wheelchair Ramp Systems for pedestrians and wheelchair users for Acco Engineered Systems construction project.

March 06, 2015 // Franchising.com // San Diego, CA - Two Wheelchair Ramp Systems were provided on March 4, 2014 on the sidewalk at 402 West Broadway in San Diego. Over 56 feet of steel, modular Amramp Systems were used for two way traffic. The Ramp Systems will be rented for two months during the duration of the project. Each of the two ramp systems use a 4 x 4’ platform elevated at 12” to allow passage of duct work across the sidewalk. Twelve foot ramps are used on either side of the platform allowing pedestrians and wheelchair users to travel up the 12’ ramp, across the platform and then down the ramp to pass by the construction site.

Brett McKee, President of Amramp Los Angeles – Los Angeles said, “We are excited to work with Acco Engineered Systems to help them meet the needs of the public while their construction project takes place at 402 West Broadway in San Diego. The complex includes a Hotel as well as three resturants, offices, conference space and parking. Michael Houda, ACCO Project Manager described the project as “retrofitting the existing mechanical systems of the building center”. A temporary power supply was installed and run across the sidewalk between the building center and the train tracks. The ramps allowed the conduit to cross the sidewalk under the ramp system while pedestrians use the ramp.

Acco Engineered Systems is a leading company designing, installing and maintaining mechanical systems projects throughout the United States. Recent projects include the Sacramento Entertainment and Sports Center, the Union Station HVAC System and Levi’s Stadium.
