Pizza Pizza Spreads Smiles With Annual Fundraiser in Support of Children's Miracle Network, April 20 to May 3

Pizza chain kicks off Slices for Smiles 2015 fundraising campaign.

TORONTO, ONTARIO - (Marketwired - April 20, 2015) - The Pizza Pizza team is wearing their biggest smiles this spring with the return of the chain's Slices for Smiles fundraiser. From April 20 to May 3, Pizza Pizza restaurants across Canada will offer discounted menu items in support of Children's Miracle Network.
Over the next two weeks, Pizza Pizza customers are invited to support the cause by walking in to their local restaurant and picking up a special 10" half smile pepperoni pizza for $2 or a large cheese pizza for $6.99. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these two menu items will be donated to Children's Miracle Network, to benefit eight of its member children's hospitals in Canada.

"The Slices for Smiles fundraisers are something that we look forward to each year," said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza. "Our partnership with Children's Miracle Network brings smiles to our franchisees and the communities they serve. We hope that the campaign will help spread some extra happiness and lead to a great deal of funds raised for Children's Miracle Network and its member hospitals in Canada."

Customers can also support the fundraiser by purchasing a $1 smile icon in store, or by adding a donation to orders placed by phone, online or through Pizza Pizza's mobile ordering apps.

All traditional Pizza Pizza restaurant locations across Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia will participate in Slices for Smiles. Funds that are raised locally will stay in the community in which they were raised to support the Children's Miracle Network member hospital for that region.
To date, the Slices for Smiles Foundation has raised over $1.65 million for Children's Miracle Network. The foundation was created in 2007 and Pizza Pizza has held more than 14 fundraisers in support of children's causes in Canada.
