Pizza 73 Spreads Smiles with Annual Fundraiser in Support of Children’s Miracle Network, April 20 to May 10

Pizza chain kicks off Slices for Smiles Foundation’s 2015 campaign.

April 21, 2015 // Franchising.com // EDMONTON, AB -  The Pizza 73 team has two big reasons to smile this April. The company continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary and is kicking off its 2015 fundraising efforts for the Slices for Smiles Foundation.

From April 20 to May 10, Pizza 73 stores across Western Canada will bring back its signature Smile Pizza in support of Children’s Miracle Network. The 9” pizza, topped with a pepperoni smile, will be available for only $4.99 for walk in orders and is also available for delivery when it is added to any pizza order. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this menu item will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network, in support of its four member children’s hospitals in western Canada.

“It’s such an exciting year for Pizza 73,” said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza 73. “To reach the milestones of 30 years of business and six years of our Slices for Smiles fundraiser at Pizza 73 is incredible. It’s always important for us to give back to the communities we serve and our smile pizzas are a fun way to spread some extra cheer for a great cause, one slice at a time.”

Customers can also support the fundraiser by adding a donation to orders placed in store, by phone and online through Pizza 73’s newly re-launched iPhone app and website at www.pizza73.com.

“It is amazing that since our partnership began, Pizza 73 — together with its sister brand Pizza Pizza — has raised over $1.6 million across Canada,” said John Hartman, Chief Operating Officer for Children’s Miracle Network in Canada. “Their customers, partners and staff are all committed to raising the bar year over year. Giving back to the children and families in their community is in their culture.”

All traditional Pizza 73 locations across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan will participate in Slices for Smiles. Funds that are raised locally will stay in the community in which they were raised, supporting the Children’s Miracle Network member hospital for that region.

To date, Slices for Smiles Foundation has raised over $1.65 million for Children’s Miracle Network. To learn more about Pizza 73’s community initiatives, visit www.pizza73.com.
