New Fashion Resale Store in Boise to Celebrate Grand Opening

Uptown Cheapskate West Boise resale franchise; New Uptown Cheapskate and Kid to Kid in Boise, ID

June 16, 2015 // Franchising.com // BOISE, ID - Local business owner Bill Long is proud to announce the grand opening of his new resale store, Uptown Cheapskate, on Thursday, June 25 at 4:00 pm. Unlike a traditional thrift store, this trendy teen and young adult fashion reseller, located at 1574 N. Wildwood Way in Boise, pays shoppers cash for their secondhand clothes, shoes and other apparel items and resells them at highly discounted prices.

The first 50 shoppers in line at the grand opening will receive mystery gift cards worth up to $50. Businesses within the area will also join in on the grand opening celebration by providing special offers.

The new Uptown Cheapskate store in Boise is located next door to Long’s other resale franchise, Kid to Kid. A sister concept to Uptown Cheapskate, Kid to Kid buys and resells children’s clothing, toys, books and baby gear. The Kid to Kid store recently moved to its larger location a month ago and will be celebrating its grand re-opening on June 25 as well. A face painter and a balloon-animal artist will be at the Kid to Kid store from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

“I’m excited to bring the Uptown Cheapskate concept to the Boise area and offer an affordable way to dress fashionably,” said Long. “Having both of my stores located next to each other will hopefully make it more convenient for my customers whose children grew up with Kid to Kid to now shop at Uptown Cheapskate.”

For several weeks, the store has been open to the public to purchase customers’ gently used fashions, filling the racks in preparation for the grand opening. Customers will then be able to come in and shop brand name and designer clothing and accessories at up to 70 percent less than retail.

Uptown Cheapskate focuses on buying current styles of apparel, shoes and accessories that appeal to a wide range of teens and young adults. After the grand opening, Uptown Cheapskate will continue to pay customers cash or in-store credit for their gently used items.

In addition to carrying hundreds of recycled items, the new Uptown Cheapskate store will also offer many new products including jewelry, shoes and assorted clothing items.
