Budget Blinds Announces Sale of One Thousandth Franchise License

June 30, 2015 // Franchising.com // ORANGE, CA - Budget Blinds, a custom window covering franchise and Home Franchise Concepts brand, is proud to announce the sale of its one thousandth franchise license. The license was sold to Roberto Ordaz and Marlene Alvarado in June and will cover the territory surrounding Mission, Texas. Ordaz and Alvarado are in-laws and new to the Budget Blinds franchise system. Prior to moving to the United States from Mexico, Alvarado was an interior designer. Ordaz received his master’s degree at Babson College in Boston and relocated to Texas to pursue a career in franchising. Together, the two will offer in-home consultations and installations for a variety of window covering options to consumers in southern Texas.

“We came to the United States looking for an opportunity to become business owners,” says Alvarado. ”The Budget Blinds franchise system provides us with the independence we were looking for while supporting us with a strong track record of success and proven method of results. Being the one thousandth franchise territory in North America is very humbling and we’re excited to become a part of what truly feels like a family.”

To date, Budget Blinds has 899 franchise territories located in the United States and 102 in Canada. Currently, there is one Budget Blinds franchise territory in Mexico, which focuses on the region surrounding Monterrey.

“Selling our thousandth franchise license is an extremely important milestone, not only for those of us at the corporate office but for the entire Budget Blinds franchise system,” says Chad Hallock, co-founder and CEO of Home Franchise Concepts. “When we founded Budget Blinds in 1992 my partners and I set a goal to sell 1,500 territory licenses. It’s the hard work of our franchisees that continues to get us closer to that goal and we’re thankful for the dedication and hard work of each and every one of them across North America.”

Budget Blinds was founded in 1992 in southern California. In 2007, the founders of Budget Blinds created its parent company, Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), after acquiring what is today called Tailored Living featuring Premier Garage. In early 2015, HFC acquired Atlanta-based franchise, All American Decorative Concrete. The HFC corporate office employs more than 70 and is located in Orange, California.
