In response to this void, a popular New Jersey fitness chain is entering the Orlando market to provide locals with the amenities and atmosphere they love at high-end gyms, without the hefty membership price tag.
Retro Fitness - a national low-cost, high-value fitness franchise with more than 135 locations operating in 16 states - plans to open 15-20 gyms throughout the Orlando area within the next 3-5 years. The company’s CEO and founder, Eric Casaburi, owns three of the first five gyms scheduled to open this year. These initial clubs are currently under development in Orange and Lake Counties – including Clermont, Windermere, Winter Springs, Apopka and surrounding areas.

Recently named a top franchise investment by Forbes magazine, Retro Fitness has evolved from a regional Northeast gym concept into a national fitness system with development efforts focused on Florida, along with a few select states across the United States. The gyms offer two types of memberships; the basic membership for $19.99 per month and the VIP membership for $29.99 per month, which includes classes, the children’s playroom and tanning. Both memberships give members access to any of its 135-plus locations nationwide.
