(PRWEB) July 31, 2015 - Oklahoma City-based international staffing company Express Employment Professionals achieved record sales revenue growth in the first six months of 2015, reporting $1.4 billion in sales, an 11 percent increase compared to the same period in the prior year. According to Staffing Industry Analysts, an independent research and data company for the temporary staffing industry, Express represents 22 percent of the revenue produced by the top 5 industrial staffing firms in the U.S.

“The strong performance thus far in 2015 resulted in Staffing Industry Analysts recognizing Express among the top industrial talent providers in the United States,” said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express Employment Professionals.

After a strong performance in 2014, when the company reported its fifth consecutive year of record growth and ended the year with $2.85 billion in sales, Express is on track again to exceed hiring goals and set another company sales record in 2015.

According to Funk and based on an independent review of sales among top staffing companies, Express is the number one staffing company in industrial sales in North America.

“Although we are certainly very pleased with our strong financial start to 2015 and where we are mid-year, what makes us truly happy is the record number of people we have put to work across this country,” Funk said.

“From the depths of The Great Recession, we have doubled the number of new people being hired,” Funk said. “We have set several weekly employment records this year, employing on average 6,000 new people per week. In 2009, we employed an average of 2,900 new people each week.”

In Oklahoma, Express offices are placing on average 250 new people per week in jobs. In 2009, we put an average of 200 new people to work each week.

“Our sights are on putting a million people to work annually,” Funk said. “This is an ambitious, yet achievable goal based on our growth trends.”

The company is on track to employ more than 500,000 people—both new and existing employees—by the end of the year.

The highest growth sectors at Express Employment Professionals are in administrative, where sales are up 13.8 percent, and professional staffing, where sales are up 19.04 percent in 2015.

Funk attributed the sales growth to the expansion of the company’s franchise network and its service-oriented culture. The company has 742 franchises and expects to add 25 more franchisees by the end of the year.

“We believe entrepreneurship is alive and well in America, and nothing brings us more satisfaction than helping people achieve their personal goal of operating their own business,” Funk said.

“The growth we’ve experienced in our company the past five years isn’t from acquisitions but from the hard work and dedication of our franchisees and support staff,” Funk said. “Our franchisees are personally invested in seeing their communities grow and thrive. They provide hope to job seekers and have a heart for putting people to work.”
