Husband and Wife Start Over, Open Window Cleaning Business Together in Gilbert

Window Genie’s newest franchise partners Brent and Melissa Windsor move to Gilbert to start over, gain control of their success and find fulfillment through business ownership.

GILBERT, AZ (PRWEB) September 30, 2015 - Window Genie announces the grand opening of its newest location in the Phoenix East Valley on Monday October 5th. Husband and wife, Brent and Melissa Windsor are the owners. Window Genie is a national home service franchise specializing in residential and light commercial window cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing, solar panel cleaning and more. Window Genie of East Valley will service the southeast Phoenix communities including Gilbert and Chandler.

Before purchasing a Window Genie franchise, Brent and Melissa decided to relocate from a small town in Kansas to Phoenix to be near family and start over. Brent said, “We always thought we might own a business one day, but living in a very small town in Kansas for many years, it was never realistic. We always knew we’d end up in Phoenix, so when we made the decision this past year to quit our jobs and move out west, we thought now was a good time to make both those dreams a reality.”

Having worked the last 12 years as a director of marketing for an automotive aftermarket company, Brent recognizes the branding potential in his new hometown for a business like Window Genie. “We think the Gilbert and Chandler areas are a great fit for our new company. It’s very residential, with a small town atmosphere. We’re confident in the potential a family-run small business like Window Genie has in a community like this. The services we offer are in demand, and the people out here are dedicated to the upkeep of their properties. Window Genie is going to be a hit.”

Melissa most recently worked as the executive director of a non-profit arts organization. She hopes her experience in community outreach and networking will help Window Genie develop a loyal customer base. “Brent and I offer a variety of skills that will help us build this business. It’s exciting that the nature of our business brings us into so many homes and businesses every day. I see it as a really great opportunity to get plugged into the community and build lasting relationships.”

Brent and Melissa learned about Window Genie while working with a franchise coach who helped them determine which franchise opportunities best fit their goals, interests, strengths and weaknesses. After narrowing down their list to about five potential business opportunities, the Windsors said Window Genie rose to the top and stayed there. “Our coach helped us focus on the ownership aspect of each business, not the product or service offered. Once we viewed each option from an owner’s perspective, we locked in on Window Genie,” Brent said.

“The culture at Window Genie is what ultimately sold us,” said Melissa. “While speaking with everyone from the CEO to existing franchise partners with Window Genie, it’s evident they’re all passionate, excited and invested in what they’re doing. It was just such a positive experience anytime we interacted with Window Genie on any front, so it was definitely a big influence on our decision because we needed a team we could trust.”

Window Genie of East Valley officially opens for business in Gilbert on October 5th. Brent and Melissa look forward to the new role of “co-owner” of their new business. “Having always worked for someone else whether it’s an individual, a corporation or board of directors, there was always someone else to report to,” Melissa said. “We’re just excited to do something for ourselves where we have the power to create our own success and make a real impact on the community every day. The best part is we’re backed by such a supportive corporate staff. We’re not just some new company stepping out there with no marketing or operations support, the Window Genie corporate staff has us set up for success and it’s just up to us to deliver quality and continue improving ourselves as we grow. We couldn’t be more thrilled with this decision.”
