Buffalo Wild Wings Holds Annual Fundraiser to Help Kids Play Team Sports with Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Pinups purchased in-restaurant throughout October will support grants for local Clubs as part of the restaurant's Team Up for Kids mission.

MINNEAPOLIS - October 1, 2015 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Today Buffalo Wild Wings® announced the kickoff of their annual pinup fundraiser during the month of October that encourages restaurant Guests to help support youth sports programs at Boys & Girls Clubs around the country. All Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will donate 100 percent of the purchase amount for every paper pinup purchased in-restaurant from October 1-31. Donations will go towards grants to help fund sports teams and facility improvement projects in local Clubs, as part of the company's Team Up for Kids® mission.

The paper pinups can be purchased for a minimum donation of $1 and will be posted throughout restaurants. Guests can also donate at www.buffalowildwings.com/giving. In addition to the pinup program, Buffalo Wild Wings is also donating $1 from each limited-time offer bottle of Bourbon Honey Mustard, Ghost Pepper and Southwest Ranch sauce sold in restaurants during September and October to the Team Up for Kids mission.

This year, Buffalo Wild Wings is increasing the impact of its Team Up for Kids mission from 2014, giving 37,000 kids the opportunity to belong to a team through 200 ALL STARS grants. As part of its partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), Buffalo Wild Wings provides Clubs with ALL STARS grants to add or improve flag and tackle football and cheer programs for boys and girls. The grants include funding, team jerseys, a recognition program and access to coach training through nationally-recognized coaching organizations.

In addition, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate up to $40,000 to each of 17 local Boys & Girls Club organizations receiving ALL STARS grants to add grants for basketball leagues and special projects such as sport field and gymnasium renovations to improve sports programming.

"We are excited we are able to continue to expand our Team Up for Kids mission in 2015 with the addition of basketball and facility grants to help Clubs build successful and sustainable sports programs. An additional 9,000 kids will benefit from ALL STARS grants this year, helping us achieve our goal of giving more than 100,000 kids the chance to belong to a team by 2017," said Mary Twinem, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Buffalo Wild Wings. "This is our third year of partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and we're thrilled to help provide year-round sports programming that helps thousands of kids experience the benefits of team sports and belonging to a team."

In 2014, Buffalo Wild Wings' partnership enabled more than 28,000 kids to participate on flag and tackle football and cheer teams. The company also awarded Team Up for Kids grants to 10 Clubs across the country. In total, Buffalo Wild Wings donated more than $1.8 million in 2014 to BGCA and has committed to donate at least $6 million through 2017.

"Our ongoing partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings has helped us increase the number of kids we serve in our communities, while improving Club facilities and sports programs for our youth," said Jennifer Bateman, national vice president of Program, Training and Youth Development with BGCA. "The ALL STARS and Team Up for Kids grants support our goal of helping as many kids and teens as possible to become part of a team and build self-confidence and life skills."
