Mainline CertaPro Painters Chris Drucquer Receives Gold Award From IFA Educational Foundation For Support Of Our Troops

PHILADELPHIA - Oct. 2, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Since 1991 - the year CertaPro Painters was incorporated - Chris Drucquer has been providing Philadelphia with professional painting services through his own locations known as Mainline CertaPro Painters for what is now North America's largest painting company. Last night in Washington D.C. he was honored by the International Franchise Association's Educational Foundation with a "Franchising Gives Back" Gold Award for:

Support Our Veterans Award - CertaPro Painters - CertaPro Painters kicked off a campaign to support Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a privately funded nonprofit organization building specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. CertaPro became one of HFOT's national sponsors, committing to raising $200,000 in funds and donations of its painting services by the end of 2014. CertaPro Painters exceeded its goal by raising $260,000 and an additional $160,000 through in-kind donations.

"In 2009 I targeted my business with an eye toward more efficiency and local philanthropy. I wanted to give back and give meaning to my success," said Drucquer.

This award represents one of many philanthropic endeavors Drucquer and his team have driven. For years, Mainline CertaPro has been instrumental in a number of Philadelphia-community causes, including an annual coat drive which netted over 1,000 jackets for needy recipients in 2013, an August book drive which obtained over 4,700 books for underprivileged children in the Kensington area of Philadelphia.
