SOLDIERFIT Wins 2015 Franchising Gives Back Award by IFA Educational Foundation

Franchising Industry Honors SOLDIERFIT Among the Best, Most Innovative Community Leaders and Charitable Programs Nationwide

WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) OCTOBER 08, 2015 - SOLDIERFIT has been selected as recipient of the Silver Award in the Newcomer Category for the Franchising Gives Back Awards by the IFA Educational Foundation. SOLDIERFIT was selected as a winner for their community leadership and service of the franchise company.

SOLDIERFIT Co-Founders Danny Farrar and Dave Posin were honored at the Franchising Gives Back Celebration and Awards Dinner on September 28th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Farrar also started a nonprofit affiliated with SOLDIERFIT called Platoon 22, (formerly known as 22 Needs a Face), and its purpose is to bring awareness and support to the high suicide rate among veterans. The name references the statistic that every day 22 service members take their own lives by suicide linked to Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS).

SOLDIERFIT is being recognized for this award in part for their work in raising awareness for
Platoon 22.

“On behalf of the IFA Educational Foundation, I want to congratulate the first-ever award winners of the Franchising Gives Back Awards,” said John Reynolds, CFE, president of the IFA Educational Foundation. “The winners are outstanding examples of how franchise businesses support their communities through charitable acts throughout the year.”

Franchising Gives Back recognizes and promotes the contributions of franchise business leaders year-round. From supporting Little League baseball teams, to donating food for homeless shelters, to organizing marches for cancer research, franchise businesses donate billions of volunteer hours and dollars to give back to their communities. Big or small, the combined local contributions of franchising create a significant impact worldwide. Franchising Gives Back recognizes the leaders who are giving back to move communities forward and inspiring their peers to do the same.
