Sky Zone Durham Hosts Donation Drives For Local Nonprofits

Trampoline Park Raises Funds For Durham Literacy Center and Genesis Home

November 11, 2015 // Franchising.com // DURHAM, N.C. – Sky Zone Trampoline Park, the creator of the world’s first all-walled trampoline playing court, is hosting donation drives to benefit the Durham Literacy Center and the Durham Genesis home, a nonprofit organization which provides housing and support services to the local homeless. The trampoline center is collecting new household items until November 30th and new or gently used books until November 20th. Guests that make donations will receive a $2 off coupon valid for an open jump admission.

On November 20, Sky Zone Durham will host a “Jump For Literacy” fundraiser event to benefit the Durham Literacy Center just in time for their 30th anniversary. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., 10 percent of jump ticket sales will be contributed to the organization. The event will also feature Kid DJ Chase Dawson, a family dance off, Sky Slam contest, family meal discounts and more. To encourage the importance of reading, all participants will receive up to two books from the ongoing book drive after purchasing a jump ticket. All remaining books will be donated to the Durham Literacy Center.

Additionally, Sky Zone Durham is also collecting new household items on behalf of the Mary Alice Foundation to directly benefit the Durham Genesis Home until November 30. Donation items needed include: Household cleaning products, trash bags, toilet tissue, bleach, dryer sheets, twin bedding sheet sets, liquid dish soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, fabric softener and pillows.
