Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Celebrates Wish Wednesday, Nov. 25, with Early Thanksgiving and Black Friday Deals

Customers Participating in the National Retailer’s “Season of Wishes” Holiday Fundraising Campaign on Nov. 25 Gain Early Access to Deals in Support of Make-A-Wish®

November 25, 2015 // Franchising.com // HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOS) locations nationwide are celebrating “Wish Wednesday” on November 25, as part of the Company’s 2015 “Season of Wishes” holiday campaign supporting Make-A-Wish®.

On Wish Wednesday, customers who donate $5 upon check out are able to take advantage of the store’s Thanksgiving Doorbusters and Black Friday Deals that evening (5 - 9 p.m.; hours vary by store**), avoiding the chaos and long lines while supporting a deserving cause. The funds raised will allow Make-A-Wish to help more children with life-threatening medical conditions experience the powerful, and oftentimes, life-changing impact of a wish-come-true.

Through December 31, customers at any of the 1,200-plus Sears Hometown Store, Sears Outlet Store, Sears Home Appliance Showroom and Sears Appliance & Hardware locations nationwide are invited to make incremental donations of $2, $5 or $10 in support of the Season of Wishes campaign.

Since partnering with Make-A-Wish last holiday season, Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores has raised more than $995,000 for the wish granting organization. William Powell, Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, President said, “We believe in the power of a wish in helping children with life-threatening medical conditions and hope to raise more than $1 million this year. With our customer’s support, we know we can hit this benchmark and grant even more wishes to deserving children.”
