JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Names Marine Veteran as VP of Quality Assurance

Nation’s Only U.S. Military Brand Strengthens Leadership Team, Focuses on Adding Strategic National Partnerships

BERWYN, Pa. - January 25, 2016 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, a company dedicated to increasing post-military career opportunities for veterans, has named United States Marine Corps veteran Kevin Kopa as the national franchise’s new Vice President of Quality Assurance. He will be tasked with continuing to grow the company’s national commercial partnerships.

Kopa served for a total of six years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, where he was deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. As a Squad Leader, Kopa was in charge of training others on weapons, equipment, tactics, cultural differences and rules of engagement. Following his service, he worked for five years at a $34 million third-party logistics company managing a team.

“With all of my experience leading teams, I am excited for the challenge of helping to increase the success of JDog franchisees across the country. I am incredibly proud to be part of a company whose mission is to help reduce the veteran unemployment rate,” said Kopa. “Our focus this year on building national commercial partnerships is an exciting growth vehicle for JDog and its franchisees.”

JDog is experiencing rapid growth across the country. The company went from five franchise locations to 33 in the past year. Additionally, JDog debuted in six states, including California, Illinois, Louisiana, New Hampshire, South Carolina and North Carolina.

JDog sells franchises exclusively to military veterans and their family members. Franchise owners operate easily recognizable, camouflage vehicles and trailers and wear military-style uniforms. JDog recycles and repurposes a substantial amount of the collected material. The Philadelphia-based company works closely with local and national organizations like Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity, as well as local schools, churches and hospitals to donate useful items to those in need.

“It is extremely rewarding for me that JDog is able to continue expanding our leadership team by bringing in experienced military veterans to help our franchisees accomplish even more in their local communities,” said JDog Founder and CEO Jerry Flanagan.
