April 05, 2016 // Franchising.com // ORLANDO, FLA – uBreakiFix announced significant growth for the first quarter of 2016, boasting a total of 24 new stores, six of which were new markets for the brand. The company ended the first quarter with 186 locations across the United States and Canada.

Between January 1 and March 31, 2016, uBreakifix grew from 162 stores to 186 and launched in new markets including New Orleans and Norwalk, Connecticut, which were the first stores in their states, as well as Austin, Texas; Rochester, New York; Buffalo, New York and Ontario, Canada. The fastest growing markets for the brand include: Florida, Orange County, California and the greater Chicago area.

Between April 1 and June 30, uBreakiFix plans to open between 28 and 30 stores, heavily targeting the San Antonio, Nashville and Denver areas while continuing to grow in New Jersey, Florida and California. New markets include Massachusetts and Michigan, with planned stores in Dedham and Royal Oak respectively.

“We have a vision to see uBreakiFix expand its reach and ability to impact consumers around the world,” said Justin Wetherill, founder and president of uBreakiFix. “We believe our rapid growth can be attributed to our excellent service and systems and the people who make the processes work. We’re very proud of our team.”

The brand plans to have 215 stores by the end of June 2016.

uBreakiFix specializes in same-day repair service of small electronics, mending cracked screens, water damage, software issues, camera issues, and most other technical problems in its stores.

The average cost for device repair at a uBreakiFix location remains close to $85.

uBreakiFix was founded by a savvy millennial trio including Justin Wetherill, David Reiff and Eddie Trujillo. They married their skillsets to offer an alternative tech-repair option that was quick, affordable and provided a quality customer experience, filling a gap in the repair marketplace. Since then, the company has grown organically without debt, investors or consultants.

By the end of 2016, the company plans to have 275 corporate and franchise locations in operation, bringing the goal to 113 to open in 2016.
