UFC Gym BJ Penn To Open Third Location In Hawaii

Mililani Location Slated to Open This Fall; Preview Center Now Open For Early Enrollment

June 20, 2016 // Franchising.com // Santa Ana, CA – UFC Gym® today announced it has partnered with UFC® Hall of Famer BJ Penn to open the third signature Gym in Oahu, Hawaii.  Slated to open this fall, the Gym, located at the Town Center of Mililani, 95-1249 Meheula Parkway in Mililani, will be a 30,000 square-foot facility and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Prior to the Gym’s launch, residents will have the unique opportunity to visit a preview center adjacent to the new facility. The preview center will be offering special pre-opening rates and will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

“I am so excited to continue the growth in Hawaii. Since our first club we opened more than four years ago, I knew that the way people trained at UFC Gym would be well received by the local community,” said BJ Penn. “I’ve always dreamed of putting my name on a Gym in my homeland of Hawaii and I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to open our third Gym with my partners at UFC Gym.” 

The partnership with Penn, a Hilo native and two-division UFC champion, was the first of its kind for UFC Gym in 2012.  UFC Gym BJ Penn has locations in the Honolulu neighborhood of Kakaako and at the Waikele Center in Central Oahu. 

The new facility will feature a 24-foot Octagon®, top-of-the-line strength training and cardio machines, battle ropes, agility ladders, bag room, Brazilian jiu-jitsu studio and other functional training equipment for dynamic workouts.
