Home Care Assistance Offers Conscious Aging Webinar for CEUs

Home Care Assistance will be hosting an educational webinar, “Conscious Aging: How Healthcare Professionals Can Guide Their Patients through the Aging Process,” on Tuesday, July 19th at 1pm EST where social workers, nurses and case managers can earn one CEU

July 07, 2016 // Franchising.com // Allentown, PA – Home Care Assistance of the Lehigh Valley, the premier provider of in-home care for seniors, is hosting an hour-long educational webinar, “Conscious Aging: How Healthcare Professionals Can Guide Their Patients through the Aging Process”, for CE credit. Led by Dr. Cassandra Vieten, President and CEO of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, the webinar will explore aging in a more positive light and share techniques for social workers, nurses and certified case managers to help those they work with navigate this process successfully. Noetic sciences is a multidisciplinary field that combines objective scientific tools with subjective inner knowing to study the full range of human experiences. This webinar will cover the following topics:

• Ways in which healthcare professionals can use noetic sciences to improve the quality of life of their patients
• Understanding of conscious aging and the noetic sciences
• Common stresses associated with aging
• Tasks of conscious aging and real-life applications

“Currently, there are over 45 million adults over the age of 65 with numbers projected to rise to 98 million in 2060,” Kathryn Zakskorn, Director of Franchise Marketing for Home Care Assistance. “As the proportion of older adults continues to increase, the need for empowered, conscious aging becomes more relevant. The CE credit is available if the healthcare professional is licensed in a field or profession from one of the boards listed below. Professionals who are not sure whether their state board will accept this CE credit should contact the organization before registering:

• Nursing (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
• Social Work (NASW)
• Case Management (CCMC)

In order to receive one hour of CE credit, healthcare professionals must attend the full webinar, complete an evaluation and score 80% or higher on the post-test. The post-test must be completed by 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern, on Monday July 25th, 2016. Attendees who pass will receive their certificates via email.
