July 19, 2016 // Franchising.com // MARION, Ill. – The wait is over in Marion. Local residents, commuters and Marion’s workforce can finally quench their thirst with great-tasting water and ice from Watermill Express at a fraction of the price they would pay at the store.
The nation’s largest drive-up pure drinking water and ice company has opened a kiosk at the Marion Plaza Shopping Center (located at 1114 N. Carbon Street) and is celebrating the new location with a memorable giveaway event. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. next Tuesday, July 19, 2016 Watermill Express will be providing one-gallon pure drinking water samples for free while supplies last. Additionally, U.S. Representative John Bradley (Marion – 117th District) will be making a celebratory speech, congratulating Watermill Express of Marion owner/franchisee Dr. Pradeep Reddy for bringing the brand to the region.
“As a healthcare professional, I get constant questions from families about safe drinking water options for children. Watermill Express provides pure drinking water that is safe for everyone, including newborns,” said Reddy, who is a local pediatrician and who will also open another Watermill Express franchise location in Harrisburg, Illinois within the next two weeks. “By opening a Watermill Express, I am excited to raise awareness in a new and exciting way and help the Marion and surrounding community.”
In addition to dispensing pure drinking water through a patented self-cleaning dispenser, the new kiosk features Waterocks® Ice, which is made from Watermill Express’ pure drinking water
“Our advanced water purification technology inside each kiosk is computer monitored and produces great tasting pure drinking water and crystal-clear ice 24 hours a day” said Lani Dolifka, CEO of Watermill Express. “Dr. Reddy is an outstanding member of the community and we couldn’t be more pleased with his commitment to open future Watermill Express locations bringing safe, affordable drinking water and ice to the area”
As part of the company’s longstanding promotion of using refillable bottles in the United States, Watermill Express has saved more than 500,000,000 single-use one-gallon water bottles from U.S. landfills. That impact will continue to expand as Watermill Express grows its presence in Southern Illinois.
Plus, beyond the Marion area, but equally as important, more than a thousand Watermill Express locations nationwide work closely with World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision is the largest non-governmental provider of clean water in the developing world – reaching one new person with clean water every 30 seconds.
Every time someone buys a gallon of water at a participating Watermill Express kiosk, a gallon of clean water will be donated to a person in need in the developing world via World Vision.
Across the country, Watermill Express serves thousands of customers a day safe, clean, pure drinking water and ice. Customers supply their own clean containers and drive up to the Watermill Express kiosk to purchase great-tasting water and ice at a fraction of the price they would pay at the store.
Watermill Express is the largest drive-up pure drinking water and ice company in the nation and the green alternative to prepackaged water. Watermill Express customers reuse their own clean containers to reduce pollution from single-use plastic water bottles. The brand’s Waterocks® Ice is now available at select locations.
