Pizza Hut Announces Master Franchise Partnership with AmRest Holdings SE in Central & Eastern Europe

Partnership Accelerates Pizza Hut Growth in Europe

PARIS - August 17, 2016 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Pizza Hut, a division of Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) and the world’s largest pizza restaurant company, reinforced its dedication to expansion in Europe by signing a development agreement with AmRest Holdings SE (WSA: EAT) for Central and Eastern Europe.

AmRest, which currently operates 80 Pizza Hut restaurants in Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic, signed a master franchise agreement with Pizza Hut with plans to develop over 300 restaurants over the next five years. As a master franchisee, AmRest will have the right to own, develop and sub-franchise Pizza Hut restaurants in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

Pizza Hut currently has more than 700 restaurants in Continental Europe across 24 countries and more than 16,000 restaurants worldwide in 102 countries.
