Scooter’s Coffee Opens Seventh Location in Texas

First-Ever Location in San Antonio Metro Area Celebrates Grand Opening

August 17, 2016 // Franchising.com // Boerne, TX – Scooter’s Coffee, the Midwest-based coffee franchise that has experienced tremendous growth over the past year, will increase its presence in the state of Texas with the company’s latest Grand Opening in Boerne, Texas (1 FM 3351 S, Suite 155) on August 19. To celebrate the opening, the new location will offer $1 medium drinks all day.

To show its commitment to the Boerne community, this new location is partnering with Hill Country Daily Bread on Grand Opening Day donating 100% of proceeds to the non-profit organization. In addition, customers who bring in a non-perishable food donation will receive a special Scooter’s Coffee gift of appreciation.

“Boerne is the perfect spot to open our first location in the San Antonio market,” said Rob Streett, President and COO of Scooter’s Coffee. “With proximity to the metro area, the town also boasts a unique tight-knit community that will embrace Scooter’s with open arms.”
On August 19, Grand Opening Day, customers can also expect to receive several fun giveaways; beginning at 9 a.m., the first 100 customers will receive a t-shirt or coffee mug. For the afternoon crowd, the first 100 customers after 2 p.m. will receive a $5 gift card.

In celebration of this new store opening, the location will be treating customers to a Week of Specials following the festive Grand Opening event on August 19. The week of specials includes the following:

• Monday, August 22 - $1 Any Size Caramelicious
• Tuesday, August 23 - $1 Any Size Mocha or White Mocha
• Wednesday, August 24 - $1 Small Fruit Smoothies
• Thursday, August 25 - $1 Small Candy Bar Drinks
• Friday, August 26 - Half Off Any Drink

Todd and Catherine Gerch will own this location. “We look forward to experiencing Scooter’s Coffee every time we visit family in Nebraska. When we moved to the San Antonio area, we noticed that there is a shortage of quality drive-thru coffee options,” said Catherine. “We are confident that once the local community discovers our delicious menu options and hand-pulled espresso shots, they will become Scooter’s customers for life. We are extremely excited to open our first Scooter’s in Boerne, where we now live. We look forward to building the brand with more locations in the San Antonio area.”

With more than 145 stores open in 12 states, Scooter’s Coffee has signed agreements in three additional states throughout the country and will open over 40 locations from coast to coast in 2016. Over the next few months, the company boasts a robust grand opening pipeline, which includes its first-ever locations in Oklahoma and Arizona. Earlier in the summer, the company opened its first of many locations in Florida. It will also add several locations this year to expanding markets, such as Iowa, Kansas, Texas and Georgia.

In 2016, the company has also added depth to its product profile, releasing a new line of Organic Hot and Iced Teas earlier this summer. Currently, Scooter’s is touting its new Cold Brew & Cream offering, which combines slow-steeped cold brew with 100% real cream and several innovative flavor options. In addition to its nearly-100% gluten-free beverage menu, Scooter's will soon add gluten-free food items to its extensive menu. Scooter’s, which is based out of Omaha, Nebraska, handcrafts its pastries and roasts its own 100% shade-grown coffee, sourced through Arbor Day Foundation.
