Inc. Magazine Names Kneaders Bakery & Café To The 2016 Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies List

Hits Three-Year Sales Growth of 96 percent

SALT LAKE CITY - Aug. 23, 2016 // PRNewswire // - Inc. magazine recently ranked Kneaders Bakery & Café as one of its Inc. 5000, an annual and exclusive list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list honors those who Inc. describes as the "superheroes of the U.S. economy." Previous Inc. 5000 members include everyday brands such as Yelp, Pandora, Domino's Pizza and LinkedIn.

With revenue reaching $77.5 million in 2015 and a 96 percent three-year growth in sales, the Utah based company joins the prestigious rank of approximately 150 other food and beverage companies. Chain-wide, Kneaders has over 2000 employees. With 51 stores in six states currently, Kneaders has plans to have 55 stores open around the country by the close of 2016.

Methodology

The 2016 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2012 to 2015. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2012. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies--as of December 31, 2015. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2012 is $100,000; the minimum for 2015 is $2 million.
