The Chickery Set to Open its First Location in the Middle East

Celebrity Chef David Adjey’s The Chickery is set to open first Dubai location in Spring 2017.

August 24, 2016 // Franchising.com // Toronto, Canada - The Chickery, already with four locations in existence, three (3) in Toronto and one (1) in Washington D.C, has confirmed the new franchised location to open late Spring of 2017 in La Mer, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Chickery has partnered with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill. Fransmart will serve as The Chickery’s franchise development and investment partner via FranInvest – Fransmart’s new private equity firm for growing restaurant concepts.

Saleh Al-Samadi of Al-Samadi Retail is an experienced multi-unit franchisee, as he is also the master franchisee for Big Smoke Burger in the UAE and Qatar with one (1) location currently open in BOXPARK, Dubai and additional locations set to release. When asked what drew him to invest in The Chickery, Al-Samadi stated, “We saw a tremendous gap in the market for high quality, fresh chicken; the superior food combinations coupled with David Adjey’s talent really solidified our choice to invest early on in The Chickery”. Al-Samadi chose to position the first unit along the Arabian Gulf’s Jumeria beachfront neighborhood, La Mer. The new development coming into this area will offer residential and commercial opportunities and serve as an entertainment hotspot for both indoor and outdoor activities.
