From Programming to Manufacturing, TGA Launches New Youth Tennis Equipment

Leading youth sports brand expands to become the only company in the tennis industry to deliver youth tennis programming and its own custom sized equipment.

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) October 20, 2016 - TGA Premier Youth Tennis, one of the nation’s leading introductory and recreational tennis programs, has expanded into manufacturing and is launching its own line of custom tennis racquets for boys and girls.

“Through the success of TGA’s tennis delivery model in partnership with the USTA, expanding to provide properly fit tennis equipment to our customers is only natural,” TGA’s CEO, Joshua Jacobs, said. “With access to tens of thousands of first time tennis participants and their families, we plan to directly introduce our customer base to the equipment line and progress them through the five sizes.”

With the launch of its tennis equipment, TGA is the first company in the tennis industry fully dedicated to growing the sport through delivering tennis programs as well as manufacturing tennis racquets. To bring the new tennis equipment to market, Jacobs called on 30-year sports industry manufacturing veteran Ross Kvinge of Air Force One, a TGA franchise owner who has worked with high profile sporting equipment manufacturers.

“Parents often comment on the high quality of our programing and expected nothing less when we introduced the new tennis equipment,” Kvinge said. “By experiencing firsthand how youth progress and react to the equipment they use, we have developed a line they will find esthetically pleasing and performs well, which will further expand our expertise and credibility among our tennis participants and their families.”

TGA racquets were created and designed with multiple focus groups; youth tennis players, their parents as well as TGA and USPTA coaches nationwide. TGA will offer racquets in five different sizes, 19”, 21”, 23”, 25”, and 27”. In addition, the grips will progress in length through each size, as well as the head size of the racquet increasing 5 square inches per size from 85 sq. in. to 105 sq. in. This maximizes the hitting surface in each age group while still maintaining optimum balance and control.

These lightweight racquets, ideal for the beginning or intermediate youth player, are available online at shop.playtga.com.
