TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Names Brant Hartle as Chief Financial Officer

Hartle Joins the Team as the International Moving Franchise Announces 8.72 Percent Growth in the Third Quarter of 2016

LANSING, Mich. - Nov. 22, 2016 // PRNewswire // - Brant Hartle first learned about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the largest national moving franchise system in the U.S., as a neighbor to one of the brand's original "two men" and former CEO, Brig Sorber. For nearly 12 years, conversations at the mailbox and neighborhood events gave Hartle a unique view into the company, as Sorber told him about the company's growth, hiring initiatives and hiccups on the road to success. Through that unique lens into the company, Hartle formed a deep respect for Sorber as both a neighbor and a company leader - one who always seemed to do the right thing no matter what issue was presented.

"Brig would tell me about the company exactly how it was because there was no reason not to," said Hartle. "I feel comfortable coming into this company because I had the privilege to learn about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® from a man who I've known to always live his life doing the right thing."

During this timeframe, Hartle was an audit manager at Andrews Hooper & Pavlik PLC, a well-known firm in Okemos, Michigan, before becoming the CFO at a multi-state insurance agency specializing in Physician malpractice insurance, SCW Agency Group, Inc. Hartle then transitioned into a role as an insurance agency operations consultant for The Doctors Company, helping integrate SCW Agency Group, Inc. into their operations.

Always intrigued by learning about new industries and expanding his capabilities in the business world, Hartle became a co-founder and CFO of a Software as a Service start-up, Rentr.com, in the fall of 2015. Looking for business advice during the launch phase of the company, Hartle dialed his former neighbor, Sorber, to tap into his years of experience and expertise as an entrepreneur. While meeting with Sorber at the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® offices, Hartle also met former CFO and current CEO, Jeff Wesley, who provided additional business advice on his start-up.

Hartle spent the following 15 months working with a lean team of three other men, self-teaching himself how to run a start-up as the only team member without start-up experience. Then, an unexpected call came. In the fall of 2016, Wesley reached out to Hartle and presented a potential opportunity to join the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® team.

"Upon first meeting Brant, I was excited by his overall energy and interest in learning about different industries and implementing new ideas as an experienced CFO," said Wesley. "With our aggressive growth goals and new ways of diversifying service offerings to our franchisees and customers, Brant's ability to adapt and find ways to win was a really appealing quality. He is a great culture fit and addition to our leadership team."

Hartle's experience launching Rentr.com has helped him learn about the ups and downs of running a start-up and how to succeed with very little capital – both human and financial. Upon joining the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® team, Hartle was pleasantly surprised to discover just how quickly a mature, family-owned business can grow, especially seeing the company posting third quarter growth at 8.72 percent.

"I learned that this company moves extremely quickly, is extremely aggressive in growth goals, and everyone in the company is a superstar in their respective roles," Hartle said. "After looking at how the company operates and all the exciting initiatives they're rolling out, I realized that the company acts as a start-up in many ways, but they have the right team in place and a strong balance sheet to actually be able to execute quickly and successfully on new plans."

Hartle joins TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® as the company celebrates 82 months of consecutive growth. With more than 380 domestic and international locations, 2,700 trucks and 10,000 hires in 2017, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®'s strong, fast-growing foundation has helped the brand become one of the nation's premier moving services companies.

"TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is an extremely professional, well-run company that treats its employees well and is really involved with community service," Hartle said. "I'm looking forward to using my start-up experiences to analyze markets and figure out how we can continue to grow intelligently, to find areas where we can improve profitability, to examine how we can grow our customer service focus and to work with teams to develop the plans so that they are executed effectively."
