Husband-Wife Military Veterans To Open First Pinot’s Palette® Studio In Greater Seattle

December 14, 2016 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON – Heidi and Ray Leonard are reinventing their careers in a colorful way. After serving just under a combined 40-years in the Washington Army National Guard as helicopter pilots, they started another adventure as small business owners. On December 10th, their American dream became a reality as they celebrated the Grand Opening of the area’s first Pinot’s Palette, the premiere, upscale entertainment destination to “Paint. Drink. Have FunÒ”at 10507 156th St. E in Puyallup.

The new studio is the first and only Pinot’s Palette in the South Puget Sound and one of eight studios planned for the greater Seattle area.

“While serving in the Washington Army National Guard together, Ray and I spent some time rekindling our romance after our first child was born,” Heidi said. “One of our first dates was at a Pinot’s Palette. It was such a fun and interactive date and both Ray and I had the best time. It was then that the seed was planted that this could be a new business opportunity for us.”

After doing a sanity check, the couple began researching the company that helped them reconnect with the intent to open their own studio. Not only did they decide to become franchise owners, but they were also able to take advantage of the VetFran discount at Pinot’s Palette, which gives military veterans a 10 percent discount on the franchisee fee.

“We knew we had the skills to own a business together and Pinot’s Palette offered support through the steps of setting up the studio, helping to identify the right studio site, and providing training for our new staff,” she said. “Ray and I are convinced Pinot’s Palette will quickly become a favorite destination for those looking for an entertaining night out and opening this studio has brought our relationship full circle.”

Guests sign up for the no-experience-required art event online at www.pinotspalette.com.
