Big Whiskey’s Franchising Announces Lender Partnership

OakStar Bank Tabbed as Preferred Financier for Franchise Candidates

January 10, 2017 // Franchising.com // The franchising arm of Big Whiskey's American Restaurant & Bar® has selected OakStar Bank of Springfield, MO as its preferred lender to offer financing to franchise candidates in North America.

Austin Herschend, CEO of Big Whiskey’s Franchising LLC, made the announcement recently as the company begins its expansion in 2017 by opening its first franchised locations and additional company-owned units. “We’re honored to partner with OakStar Bank to offer qualified franchise candidates another source of funding. This will help expedite our expansion across the country,” Herschend explained.

Charles Hachtel, OakStar’s Senior Vice President, echoed his institution’s enthusiasm with the new arrangement. “We’re excited to be the preferred lender for the Big Whiskey’s franchisees. OakStar Bank is honored to have earned the trust and loyalty of the executives at Big Whiskey’s and we are ready to work hard for future franchisees in effort to expand this successful brand!”

Herschend added that with OakStar’s support, Big Whiskey’s franchising efforts could accelerate, especially for candidates that are inquiring about multi-unit markets. “We’ve had several good potential franchisees meet with us. Many are looking at long term, multiple location strategies and options on financing that growth - now we have the resource in place.”
