BRIX Holdings Celebrates Milestone Year Of Development In 2016

January 17, 2017 // Franchising.com // DALLAS - BRIX Holdings, LLC, a multi brand franchising company, celebrated a milestone year for franchise development in 2016. The BRIX Holdings portfolio, which includes Red Mango® Yogurt Café Smoothie & Juice Bar, Smoothie Factory® Juice Bar, RedBrick Pizza® Kitchen Cafe, Greenz® and Souper Salad® chains, saw a total of 29 new signings across all brands in 2016 and the strongest year of franchise co-branding in company history.

Red Mango Yogurt Café Smoothie & Juice Bar announced a co-branding alliance with Crest Foods, Inc., franchisor of Nestlé® Toll House® Café by Chip® to create expanded opportunities for franchisees and more menu variety for customers. In Spring 2017, legendary Hall of Fame NBA player Hakeem Olajuwon will open a co-branded Red Mango/ Nestle Toll House Café by Chip store in Mont Belvieu, TX. Additionally, the brand expanded into Puerto Rico and El Salvador adding four new stores in 2016. Red Mango received top honors this year recognized as one of the Top Food Franchises in 2016 and Top Global Franchises in 2016 by Entrepreneur magazine.

Over the summer, Red Mango also donated its North Babylon, Long Island franchise to Easter Seals New York (ESNY) as part of its national initiative to support veteran programming and raise awareness of veteran support services. The donation also paid homage to the 25th anniversary of the VetFran program at the International Franchise Association where franchisors, including Red Mango, offer their best financial incentives to U.S. military veterans with an interest in franchise ownership.

In early 2017 BRIX will unveil a new RedBrick Pizza Kitchen Cafe prototype in New Jersey, which is part of a three store development deal. In addition, a VetFran franchisee will open both a RedBrick Pizza and Red Mango store in Lindale, TX in early 2017 as well.

The healthful offerings from BRIX brands continued as Souper Salad launched a restaurant in McAllen, Texas this year, debuting a new prototype for the chain. The 4,000 square-foot restaurant interior features a vibrant new design with a contemporary, streamlined look, a state-of-the-art induction cooking kitchen, comfortable seating for over 115 guests and a 28-foot salad bar.

Meanwhile, Smoothie Factory flexed some business muscle this year as well. The brand unveiled a store-in-store program with Gold’s Gym at select locations
