Expedia® CruiseShipCenters® Celebrates 30th Anniversary “Leading the Way” Aboard Celebrity Reflection®

March 31, 2017 // Franchising.com // Miami - Riding the wave of a record-setting year in 2016, Expedia CruiseShipCenters – part of the Expedia, Inc. family of brands, is gearing up once again for its highly anticipated annual national conference at sea. Celebrating 30 successful years of navigating spectacular vacation experiences, this year’s conference takes place aboard Celebrity Reflection April 1-8, 2017. Sailing roundtrip Miami, attendees will cruise through the Eastern Caribbean with stops in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Philipsburg, St. Maarten, and Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The theme for the annual event, attended by nearly 400 Franchise Partners, travel industry executives and corporate support staff, inspires the brand to continue “Leading the Way,” solidifying its mark as a top performing travel franchise. The seven-day conference contains an action-packed agenda featuring executive keynote presentations, workshops, and panel discussions aimed at leveraging the future growth of the cruise industry and helping franchisees prepare for an exciting year ahead.

Keynote presentations will be delivered by industry moguls including Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president, sales and trade support and services for Celebrity Cruises, Camille Olivere, senior vice president, sales for Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales and trade support & service for Royal Caribbean International. Expedia CruiseShipCenters’ corporate support team members will also be hosting events, round tables, and workshops for Franchise Partners to help support local franchise operations.

“Our annual conference represents a unique moment when our entire industry and system are united in the same space. Our Franchise Partners, corporate executives, and industry thought leaders gather to share best practices, build relationships, and drive the industry forward,” said Matthew Eichhorst, President of Expedia CruiseShipCenters. “This year we will reflect on our thirty years in business and identify strategic initiatives to replicate and surpass our recent achievements.”

With the brand’s proven business model – affordable to start and extremely scalable – combined with its focus on providing spectacular customer service and the rapid growth of the cruise industry overall, Expedia CruiseShipCenters is looking to award 45 new franchises in 2017. Working towards having 500 locations open and operating in the next five years, the company is seeking franchisees across the United States, with particular focus on Washington, Texas, Florida, Georgia and Illinois. These states have a high density of cruisers and an established brand presence providing the ideal foundation for an Expedia CruiseShipCenters travel agency franchise.

With the industry steadily on the rise, Cruise Lines International Association reports that more than 25 million people are expected to set sail in 2017 and 26 new ocean, river, and specialty ships are scheduled to debut to keep up with growing demand. As the cruise industry continues to evolve, consumers are faced with an ever-growing and overwhelming array of options, making Expedia CruiseShipCenters’ commitment to providing trusted expertise and personalized service an invaluable resource for travelers.
