Dryer Vent Wizard Participates in Tough Mudder to Raise Money for Children’s Burn Foundation

Leading Dryer Maintenance and Repair Franchise Encourages Donations through CrowdRise Link for June 3 Event

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - April 25, 2017 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - On June 3, members of the corporate team at Dryer Vent Wizard, North America’s leading dryer maintenance and repair franchise, will participate in a Tough Mudder race as part of a fundraiser for the Children’s Burn Foundation. The event marks the first year Dryer Vent Wizard is participating in a Tough Mudder and the sixth year the franchise will donate to the charitable organization, which supports children who have suffered severe burns.

Since 2012, Dryer Vent Wizard has partnered with the Children’s Burn Foundation to help spread awareness for the dangers of fires. The organization provides medical and psychological care for children burn survivors, as well as programs on burn prevention and education.

The Tough Mudder, considered “Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet,” challenges participants’ strength, stamina, mental grit and teamwork in a series of 10-12 mile obstacle mud-run events. Dryer Vent Wizard will be participating in the Oxford, Mich. race, which will run through hills, ponds, meadows, fields and woods.

“We are excited to step up our fundraising efforts this year by participating in a Tough Mudder as a way to raise money for this worthy organization,” said Terry Reuer, CEO of Dryer Vent Wizard. “The Children’s Burn Foundation is an incredible non-profit organization whose mission aligns with ours: preventing fires across the United States. We can’t wait to see what we’ll be able to do for them this year.”

The members of the Dryer Vent Wizard corporate team who will participate in the Tough Mudder include Terry Reuer, CEO of Dryer Vent Wizard, Jason Kapica, Vice President of Dryer Vent Wizard as well as Mike Donnelly, legal administrator, along with seven friends and family members.

During National Fire Prevention Month in October, Dryer Vent Wizard franchisees fundraise for the organization though pledging a donation amount per job completed in the month. Last year, Dryer Vent Wizard raised nearly $21,000, pushing the total number of money raised for the organization to $45,000.

Dryer Vent Wizard aims to raise $25,000 through the Tough Mudder and the October fundraising drive. If interested in donating to the organization, please visit https://www.crowdrise.com/dryer-vent-wizard-corp.
